Transportation might be available with prior arrangement. Please call by Saturday evening if possible, or send e-mail
BBQ will be held at the South-West corner of High Park, close to a picnic shelter.
Subway station is accross the North border of the park. It's about 10-15 minute walk to the spot - mini-train rides are available every 25 minutes for a small fee, and there is a stop right next to our spot. Call Ivona's cell if you need a ride:)
UPDATE: Park people have decided
to install many new ramps between 11PM last night and 8AM this morning. These
are the new parking instructions:
You have to enter the park from the North side (Bloor Street Entrance, at the
top of the hill between Parkside Drive and Bloor Village / Runnymede). Drive
South the only way you can for about 800 meters. Parking is available at Grenadier
Restaurant and along the street, which is where the road makes a large shallow
'U' going back North (there is a stop sign at the tip of the turn; check left
and middle maps).
The BBQ spot is South-West from there. The best way to find it is to simply
climb down until you hit the pond, and look for confused people inexpertly trying
to operate a barbecue:). While climbing down, you will likely walk along a stream
and some very pretty "Japanese" gardens on your right. Just before
you hit the coast, a large circular flowery area will be on your right (see
map).

Our building is at 45 Southport Drive.
By car, it's easiest to turn directly North on Southport from Queensway. Alternativelly, coming from North West, you can turn from Bloor onto South Kingsway; from South Kingsway left onto Ormskirk just before you hit Queensway; Ormskirk becomes Southport. Click to see map.
By
subway, you can go to Runnymede subway station, and take the
77 bus. It'll take it about 15 minutes, but it stops right in front of our building
(actually, twice;). Bus makes a loop: It will go all the way south to Queensway,
about 20 meters west along it, then 30 seconds North on Kingsway, then onto
Ormskirk, it become Southport after a long 90degree turn to the right, and stops
in front of our building.
Alternativelly, give one of us a call on cell-phone and we'll try to arrange
for a pick-up :)
Our building (45) is the southern of two twin buildings on the East side of Southport. Our entry code is 24... I think ;)
